:hi:

Pixel fix is posted here and you need the parcel shelf type that folds back on itself like a roman blind. Don't buy the one that is spring loaded and roles back - that's for the facelift and will not fit the pre-facelift.

Well , so far its been a slightly disappointing x5 ownership. I shall explain.
Ive not got it yet :)
went to see it , Tuesday, took it for a test drive, and the thing felt solid, took my mechanic friend with me ( bmw mechanic).
engine was smooth apart from a pulley whine, which we noticed when it was running , "no problem" he said , we don't sell crap cars, it will be repaired, don't matter which pulley it is or it belongs to its getting fixed!"
not bad I thought he estimated a few days as his workshop was busy. so I called up thurs,  got no reply, called this morning , thinking surely its gonna be ready??..
no , the part there wanting hasn't arrived yet and I've to call Monday.
Grrrr :):)

Well , ive had the car 3 weeks now, just been down to fuel it up  103 quid , jeesh :)
not as bad as the guy next to me in the audi q7 , 112 quid.
and I got a nice list of jobs to work through, some not important , a few maybe
front caster bushes are shot.
needs to remove a couple of door cards , to replace the little plastic clips, and fix 2 of the door handle leds
instrument cluster needs fixing
I've fixed my pcd sensor (all sensors tick) however the pdc still isn't working properly (same symptoms as failed pdc sensor).
I've got a suspect bm54 module that's broke , (speakers buzzing and cutting out) going to send it away, to get it upgraded and I think music streaming added to it)
STILL need to find a black rear parcel shelf
im getting  suspension inac a lot, but indy read codes, and there isn't any there.
im getting a clunk from the rear end  I think there may be a bush going on the back , my indy said my rear suspension bushes were ok,  so don't know.
and my little  piece of rubber that connects the fuel filler cap to the car has perished :)

so. not too bad I think

Steve
