HI,
Can anyone here recommend a car insurer with the best customer service?
I've just been shunted from behind and to say that my insurers, Quotelinedirect, were abysmal is an understatement.
Therefore I'm looking around for a company that cares about their customers and not just taking the money and doing F#*k all else.
Avoid Quotelinedirect in my opinion.
Thanks.

Admiral have always been good (on the basis of having had 2 prangs)

I've used Frizzels (now LV), Admiral, Aviva, Directline and currently John Lewis. Admiral did not impress with their multicar antics, nor refusal to move a car from 'in use' to 'laid up' and whacking up the premium!
A lot will depend upon your location and history. What's best for one owner may be way off for you. Aviva and Directline were very good when I have had to claim in the past.

My ex-girlfriend's sister had a bad experience with Admiral. During the time when we had major floods (6 months to a year ago), she drove her VW golf through a country lane in Hampshire and through what was a considerably deep pool of flood water (she probably didn't imagine it to be quite as deep). The car was then "acting funny" and the engine died about half an hour later.
She then went through Admiral insurance for a claim, and they rejected it on the basis that it was "pre-existing damage" before she bought the car second hand, and that it wasn't caused by her driving through that big pool of water. She had that car for a fair amount of time before the incident itself (about a year).
She then got it repaired at a local garage for £1000 or so, I can't remember exactly. She had to pay from pocket.
I'm sure that every insurance company will have its horror stories, but my guess is that the bigger names are probably the best (Aviva, AXA, Admiral, Allianz [Russian grand prix advertising obviously had an effect on my memory
], ...)

Sounds already funny " Insurance company who cares >:D about costumers" Don't get me wrong but haven't really met any! I was long time Zurich costumer, very pleased with costumer service , no claims in my life and they decided to add extra £220 for my premium without any reasonable explanation! So Im with tesco now!

Swift and the CUE database are seriously f@cking up my life. They insist it's non fault (which it was and repaired) but the CUE DB insists differently and other quotes are being jacked up now util it's resolved.
Swift are part of AXA and have me by the nuts until it's resolved
Remember they ask you to honest...well the DB says the case isn't close 6 months on and I have to renew on the 5th Nov.....threatened them with the FCA
