Hi, we have a Dec 07 E70 3.0d and yesterday the Idrive froze up.
You could change the radio station but couldn't turn the radio off, change the volume or come out of the entertainment section.
It was like this for a couple of trips yesterday but then started working ok last night.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this?

Not had that but have had the idrive power up with no sound from the speakers. The BMW "CTRL_ALT_DEL" normally restores normal service - hold both DVD and CD ejects whilst pressing the volume and the idrive reboots. Might be worth a try next time it happens?
