I'm sorry, I have searched but just keep getting more confused :-[
I'm looking at 2008 to 2009 X5's and want to have Bluetooth Phone Connect & Sat Nav.
Which packages do I need or were these standard/options..?
Next question is the Media Package, what was this?
It would help if BMW AUC would make their spec lists all the same!

Media pack is what you want as it will have those options
Probably popular option as it was better value for money.

Thanks.
I actually randomly got a message from the BMW salesman, so I asked and he answered the same.
Good spec as standard on the E70's and it would seem most have a good selection of options.
Just need to research tow bars now....

If you want to stay OEM then you could by without one and fit the Westfalia from somewhere like PF Jones.
What are you planning to tow? The 'standard' setup is rated to 2.5T but you can get and 'uprated' car which has added hardware and can tow up to 3.5T.
Cars fitted with the standard setup have a more powerful engine fan, those with the uprated setup get additional radiators in the front left wing. There aren't many about though.

interesting, thanks.
I'm going to tow my E36 which should be under 2.5t (she is currently on a diet)
Ideally I would want a removable tow bar so the WITTER one could be the way forward?
I don't see many cars advertised with tow hooks so probably will end up retrofitting.
Are the electrics pre-wired then?

Westfalia is removable (swan neck). Electrics are not pre-wired so you need to add that kit too. There are vehicle specific kits for 7/13 pin options which do not require vehicle coding.
You can find all the fitting and wiring guides on that site too.
You will need to cut the rear bumper as well - not a difficult job though as it's really just a notch for the towball.
You ought to add the 800W fan in place if the 650W standard version if the load is that heavy though.
