Hi
I'm not sure if this would work but as the airbag is attached to the car if you spray the airbag with a strong mixture of water and washing up liquid any leak from the airbag would then create bubbles around it.

It's just that when my gas engineer friend cone roungpd he check for gas leaks in a similar way and if it works for that it's should work for the airbag and the connections.

Don't forget to dry it iff and be careful to keep it away from any electrics when checking the pipe joints or the pump on th car.

The alternative is take it to you local garage whether BMW or Indy
