Front Titanium grills

Post by cooa99 » Thu Jun 12, 2014 8:51 am

I am looking to buy titanium kidney grills for my black 2005 X5

I am not very clear if each side is a single or 2 piece unit.

e.g. realoem http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=FB72&mospid=47739&btnr=51_4251&hg=51&fg=95 is showing the titanium ones as a single unit, is that true?

I found the add below on ebay, but not sure exactly what they are selling (.... if the grills happen to be in two parts)

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/181396649934?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

cheers

Hi and welcome,

If your look at real OEM the grille is a single piece for the left and a single unit for the right.

On the eBay link they are only selling you the left grill.

Do Check the buy and sell section via search for titanium grill as I know someone was selling a set a lot cheaper a whirls back or poss if you have black the may want to swop their titanium for you black ones, just a thought.

Also spotted this link for a DIY solution http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/index.php/t ... l#msg29534
