CD changer fix

Post by X5-MK » Fri May 23, 2014 10:16 pm

If you guys have not seen this, take a look, it might help. My CD changer has been dormant for over a year now due to the "NO DISC". Got the grease today and will give it a go over the weekend.

Will let you know the outcome

Worked a treat :)

There was so much dried up grease, took an age to loosen the cogs and clean and re apply the grease, Happy days.

All is needed now is to change all 4 tyre sensors and I'm done.

I have this issue in my X, was it easy enough to get the top off the changer to get access?

Cheers,

The secret is to just take your time. One word of warning though, be carful when taking off the small box at the back as this is were the ribbon cable is and is so flimsy

Hope this helps guys

I removed my changer today, unplugged it then re-plugged it, working fine so far, but I expect it will revert back to original problem, thanks for the advice  :)
