Looking at doing the intake filter tomorrow, and stumbled across this page on the manual

Apparently it's the air filter element, but cant see it on real OEM to google the part and find out if i need to replace it.

It's a 3.0d (e70)

Are you doing the engine or AC?  2007 E70 3.0D?

The engine air filter is on the left side of the engine, same as the E53 if you have a M57 T2 engine.

As in this type.

The picture you have matches the 30sd on Realoem.  That's a M57N2 engine.

Just sussed it as well (just as you posted). It's the 3.0d E70 07- one of the first batches in the UK from what i gather.

I've got the right part now time to do the bank holiday to-do list .
