New Bluetooth Module - what a pleasure!

Collected my X from dealers who had lots of expensive work to do all day and for the first time ever, cost to me was NIL!!! Yippee for warranty!!!!
Apparently the car was reprogrammed with much newer software after the Bluetooth module was replaced and it now connects to the phone very quickly, simply and easily - just as it should do. Thank heavens.
And the parking sensors all work again, fuel filler pipe and wiper arm replaced (were rusty - no-one sure why, but BMW accepted liability to change) and one of the keys were replaced as it has never worked properly.

So I'm really pleased to have the X fully working.....enjoying it while it lasts!!! :D :D And even more delighted with the MPG on my long commute today - 30.3!!!!!! :driving: :driving:

Nice one mate! So glad that you got it sorted, nothing more satisfying than getting your car done, and even better under warranty!!

Roy.

Well done CondorX5, must be a good feeling to walk away from the stealers with a working car and no Bill :driving:

BT great when working, but seems to be a real PITA for many ( me included at first)

Great mpg, haven't managed that in mine yet :fuelfire:

I have battled big time with the wretched BT kit.....took hours and hours to get into pairing mode, then would randomly just work. Drove me batty. Eventually went and made a big fuss at main dealer and they agreed to replace it.
I'm so pleased with the big V8s fuel consumption.....never thought I'd see 30.3 mpg on a V8, best I ever had on the 3.0i was around 24mpg!!! :D

Usuall thing, little engine, big car = engine works hard so uses more fuel
big engine, big car = engine not working hard at all so will do better...

I did the school run the other week, only about 7 miles round trip but included a few hills - 17mpg. SWMBO was not impressed as she thought the diesel was efficient  Maybe I should have gone for the V8

Everytime.........the sound of that gorgeous engine is enough to make me smile even after the worst possible day at work........I don't think any diesel could ever be quite the same for me. My first diesel car (company car) ever arrives in early January.......I know it won't be quite the same, but at least I won't be piling the miles onto the beloved V8!!!!!

Diesels have there place. I would have liked a V8 but SWMBO is the sensible one who does the money thing and she wasn't conviced by the running costs.

I have just read your spec on the signiture - wow, what a car. No wonder you don't want to put the miles on it - just garage it, polish it and use it for high days and holidays..

Thanks, I do absolutely love it - paid a bit over the odds for it from Hexagon but I'd go back to them for another performance car as I had a good buying experience from them and there's been no quibble about little issues that weren't covered on the BMW AUC warranty. I just love the Le Mans blue and the spec cost an extra £12K on the list price as I recall  thank heavens I wasn't the first owner!!!! as it ended up costing about £70K :o :o new......... I guess my new Kia Sportage fully loaded diesel crossover company car won't be quite the same....... Luckily I don't have to sell the X as I made space on the driveway for the new Kia.
