Hi All,  just want to pick your brains
I've just changed the spark plugs and found a drop of oil in the rocker box so I'm guessing that i'll now have to place the rocker box gaskets.
Question - Does any on have a "how to" data sheet on the procedure to carry out this job?
Do I need to remove all the spark plugs again or will the rocker box come off with the left in place?
Cheers
Rich

Hi, new to the forum and just purchased a 2002 4.6is for my wife (her daily is a 2.8 Z3 but she fancied an X5 for winter).  The X5 is marking its teritory with oil on the drive from the passenger side and i suspect the rocker cover gaskets.  I am an ok home mechanic and would like to tackle this myself after having a few unhappy garage moments.

Does anyone have a how to guide?

Or has anyone had a go at this and can comment.  Im just concerned that ill get so far with it and find i need special tools, or bleed the cooling system to remove pipes, or take off timing chains etc etc.  If it is a straight bolt off and bolt on i am ok

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance :)
