Hello all,
Joined last year and although I've posted a little I admit I ended up a bit of a lurker :/
I am finally very close to purchasing my first X5 but thought I'd get your opinions on the car in question before I take the plunge!
It's a black 2005 (05) X5 3.0d Sport w/comms, adaptive xenons, black heated seats front and rear...spec wise it ticks all my boxes. Has 81k on the clock and a FBMWSH from just one owner. Overall a lovely car, but I'm worried that at £11k it's a little overpriced, especially seeing as though I'm a cash buyer with no px.
I would begrudgingly pay that because it's a good car, but it needs road tax and new front tyres...the latter it may need to pass it's MOT and all he has offered is to change the tyres if that's the car.
Thoughts anyone? And hello again

Re: Hello (again) and thoughts please?:)
I'm just in the process of buying a 55 plate 3.0D Sport, so similar to the one you're looking at. I found that prices varied massively across different internet sites and dealers, which made some of them seem cheap and some of them expensive.
What I found when actually looking at them in the flesh was very much a case of getting what you pay for. The cheaper ones were all frayed at the edges and sporting the lived-in look. I knew that I only wanted a tidy one so looked at the dearer ones. Only then did I find well looked after tidy cars.
Having said all that I think 11k sounds a bit high, even for a minter.

If the condition and spec are what you are after then just try to negotiate a bit more to see if you can get it at a better price, especially if it requires tyres and the like.
