Newbie saying hello - E70 3.0d

Hi all

Just spent the last few months looking over the Forum to check out tips on buying a used X5. Well after all the research I now have a 2008 E70 3.0d and chuffed to bits with it. Eventually I found a well spec'd (dynamic, multi-media, 20 inchers, beige leather, rev camera & sun roof) model.

New to forums but most impressed with the web site though. I am still working my way back through the E70 forum. Following this, checked out the hidden menus and found out the stats seem to be opening too early as the temp is very slow to rise eventually getting to 78degC, not the 90-92degC as I understand is expected. So it's off to BMW under the AUC to have them changed. Will post the mpg results before and after (if it makes a difference) when the stats are done.

Photos show as black although it is Monaco Blue. What a view on these rear 315's  :)

All for now

Hello and  :hi:

Good to see another E70 with what pvr refers to as 'wheelbarrow handle' exhausts.  :)

And it reminds me to get my summer wheels put back on - same style as yours.

Looks good, apart from the exhaust pipes.

I think the same regarding the pipes, I have bought the V8 pipes for our E70 but not had the time to put them on yet.
When my aerokit comes back from the pain shop I will probably fit them then.

Thanks all for the welcome.

Looks like I'm going to have to change the pipes. Too dark out there now to check now but it looks like there are inserts in the bumper.

Do these come out to take the bigger tail ends?

[/quote]When you fit the V8 pipes the bumper inserts have to be pulled out

Course not! They have the misfortune of having PVR on there (at least here he's a bit quieter because the Z4 is his REAL baby)! No one beats this forum!
