Hi All,

Just paid a deposit on a 55 plate 3.0ltr Diesel Sport X5. I'd never been in one before but had always admired them. After a quick bit of research I was delighted to find that I could just about afford to buy and run one, and luckily found a good one in Plymouth.

Looking forward to collecting it at the weekend - and keeping my fingers crossed that it will be ready!

This site looks really impressive...... I guess I'll be around for a while.

Best Regards

Steve

It's Sterling Grey with great spec! It seems like the 1 previous owner ticked all the boxes  :)

It's got heated leather sports seats with the extra bit that adjusts below your thighs, panoramic roof, sat-nav, webasto pre-heater, TV....... and loads of other stuff I haven't learnt about yet!

I've tried posting a photo but can't get it to work  :(

Lovely jubbly! Good start on the spec - watch that pano roof. Webasto was standard on all E53 diesels. You'll find the TV is crap on the move (besides illegal).

The running boards on my new car are showing signs of pitting and corrosion. Has anyone had any luck with polishing them back to their former glory?

Welcome and congrats.

Try wonder wheels and a bit of elbow grease on the running boards.

Well after a bit of a false start I have now picked up my new car - similar to the first attempt but a much better colour and a more cared for example.

Chuffed to bits with it so far, and really enjoyed the drive home  8)
