Not sure if anyone else has used these guys, purchased my winter tyres from them on the 29/11/10, still only received two of them, possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced, customer service agents with no knowledge, no ability to action, and very difficult to understand, nobody calls you back when you leave a message, do not deliver when agreed and then come up with a useless exceuse......

I had trouble getting my Winter Tyres too - one pair arrived a week after the other. In my case I chose Pirellis and they are in short supply. The weather has also delayed a number of deliveries.

I thought MyTyres were expensive, and they would not do the sizes I wanted.

I should finally get it all fitted tomorrow - after the snow has been and gone!!

Indeed. Are known to take your hard earned and then take an age in actually delivering your tyres. Based in Germany I believe hence the 00 49 number for Customer Services. Avoid at all costs. Use the site purely for price matching...

A lesson learnt the hard way, however, they were the only ones that had the tyres in stock, that was the only reason for using them.

I am sorry to hear of your problems,

i have used these twice before with no problems cos they are always cheap!!

However i have only ever ordered summer tyres though.

Disapointed the service is so poor,i have not used them for a year so they must have gone down hill.

And just when I thought the service could not get any worse it has..............

They have not delivered the seconnd part of the delivery as agreed, I am very close to advising them to take back their tyres and provide a refund as I just do not want to gine them my hard earned cash and if that means I have no winter tyres this year then so be it.

Sorry to hear that mate.Sounds like another case of selling what you don't have  :headbang: they are quick to make the sale and take your hard earned and then don't come up with the goods.

Luckily my local tyre fitter is inderstanding is currently holding my wheels for me, I would have used them but they could only get non run flat conti's that did not have the required load rating. If I am sensible about this I should just stay calm, bite my lip and wait till they arrive next week. However, it is very anoying and frustrating.

Like your style, the ultimate opportunist.......

However, I've got to believe that worst is over and it cannot be much longer now.

Did you get your winter set sorted?

Just for general info, I was collecting my Pirelli Scorpion Ice & Snow tyres this morning and a number of people were ringing aking for Winter Tyres. Basically the message seems to be that you can still get some Yokohama and some Toyo, but the big names like Michelin, Dunlop, Bridgestone and Dunlop are either very low stock, sold out completely or not avilable until January 2011 at the earliest.

My Pirellis came from Micheldever Tyres and even they were a struggle. It took three weeks to get them

A set of 4 (2x 255/50 VR 19 107V RSC + 2 x 285/45 VR 19 107V RSC) tyres for my E71 should have been £840 but came in at £980 due to supply and demand issues.

The other item of note was that if the temps get much above 7C then the winter tyres need to come off again as they will not grip properly. It is going to get colder again next week.

Winter tyres are perfectly effective above 7C, they just wear out quicker as it gets warmer as the compound is much softer.......

Of course your street cred suffers :D and winter tyres are not built for "speed and performance". That said, they are perfectly safe and comfortable to use even in warmer temperatures, but will wear quicker - they are however quite a bit cheaper!!!!

The tyres have been on for a few days now and I am really getting some use out of them today. Ride is also definately better on 19"s.
