F15 & iPhone 5S

Hi,

First post, and first time owner of an X5 (an F15 30d MSport).

Love the car, but but can't get the 5S to pair reliably with audio.  SW rev is TN-002.017.007 (current). I have to disable the audio in device configuration or BT will disconnect completely when selecting tracks from iDrive.  Works fine with a 4S.  Just wondered if anyone else has a similar experience.

Cheers.

Welcome!

Not the answer you are looking for, but no, I haven't had the same problem. I've had a f15 30d Msport since November and it's worked faultlessly with my 5S since new.

Do you have the enhanced bluetooth option?
Have you tried telling the iphone and car to "forget" each other and pairing from scratch again?
What do you mean by "disable the audio in device configuration"?

Happy to check any settings on mine and report back if that helps.
K

Hi,

Actually that's good to know. Thanks.

Yes, have enhanced Bluetooth, and have also removed and re-paired device. Same problem.

I don't get the same functionality as with the 4S, eg, no access to podcasts. I'll re-install the 5S and try again.

Failing that, car is back to dealer next week as someone in a white van took off the drivers side mirror yesterday. Didn't stop but have 3 witnesses who kindly left details and reg of van (now with police).  Will get dealer to check BT if I can't get it to work (takes up to a week to get replacement mirror from Germany!).

cheers.

TBH, I've never listened to a podcast in my life, so I don't know if THAT functionality is working  :D

Seems to be a common issue if using an adapter or non-OEM cable.  No idea why though.  If you are using the Apple cable it should work.
