Speaker Sizes and Info for X5 3.0d E53 2003

Hi

I have been asking quite a few questions on here recently, so thank you to all who have responded.

Next question...!

I have looked around this forum and even Google and cannot find a definitive answer to this:

What are the size speakers in the front and back doors????? I have seen 6.5", 16cm and 17cm.

I have also read that you have to glue the speakers to the tube thing...

My X5 is the non DSP so just has the 6 speaker system.

Also, what is the built-in amp (BM54?) wattage per channel?

Hi I think if you look for speakers and look for user Raj or Sanj I think one of them upgraded the door speakers and it has details of makes and sizes

On mine I changed the front door speakers. I had the hi-fi speaker upgrade from factory so I have 10 speakers. The grills in the door next to the mirrors in yours will be blank. But you can get a nice set of components in there - go for 6.5" and no more than 1" on the tweeter.

Be prepared to make up your own mounting though. The original speakers are glued into the housing. I've always been meaning to put mine into the original holders but never got round to it...

I have seen some brackets on eBay so I might give it a go...!!!

Then I'll go for the sub too (again after Sanj's help!)
