First post....

Being running around looking at at the 4x4 options for the next family bus...went to look at the new X5 at the local dealer and then the wife spotted a new X6 M50d sitting in the showroom, a hour later a deal was done, huge discount. Spec seems ok, carbon black with the osyter leather, some media options, running boards, 3 seats in the back, 360 camera?.

I currently have a E92 M3 so I was off course attracted to the engine which is just unreal and cant wait to get out for run.

Only pain is it didnt get the LED halos so already been onto Bimmian for some replacements....

Have the performance grilles and rear carbon spoiler ordered....

Will get decent picture up as soon as..

My previous car was a E92 M3 & I think you will appreciate the torque & low down shove in the X6 as not much happens in the M3 below 6k revs I found.

Its replacing a C63  ,  had looked at everything, RRS was top but to be honest we are seeing so many arriving in the local town its not so special anymore plus it would be the V6 HSE and I would end up spending too much changing trim and wheels... I am not sold completely on the looks of the X6, but its a lot of car for a good dealand the wife is well pleased.

I do love the C63 its a belter of an engine & a cracking car imo, the X6 will have a good feel good factor to it though & both me & my mrs miss my old 4.8 X5 as there is just something special about this type of motor & I love the X6 even more. 

Congrats on the purchase - I've got the X5 M50d - you will not be disappointed!

Welcome to the forum.  You've certainly picked a great engine to go with a great car.  Hopefully you will enjoy yours as much as I'm enjoying mine.

I had an X6M50d for about 8 months.  Certainly a step up in performance from the 40d.  Have fun.

I think that too  & I would have thought it would still sell pretty well over here for the punters that enjoy that little extra performance.

Picked up the new bus...very pleased. The engine is unreal, cant wait to get a proper run up to the coast at the weekend.

Carbon Black with Oyster Nevada, Lots of options. Want to change a few exterior things, was thinking of buying the performance grilles and just using the outer gloss black, keeping the grey slats.??

Forgot just how good a new black car looks on a sunny evening.

Is it a M performance exhaust on the M3? it looks different to the standard exhaust I had on mine, they are crying out for a different exhaust I think as the standard set up on mine was lousy in the noise department...the induction noise was good though!
