Having problems with getting insurance.
What's the average on an x6

A difficult question as there are so many factors the insurers take into account.  I myself have six years no claims, live in a quite part of Northern Ireland and have protected no claims.  The cost was £408 including breakdown cover and came down from £770 last year.

£411.  Just renewed.  John Lewis.

Aviva were £660 and mandated a tracker.

PS: I do qualify for SAGA (just), and they were £380.

when using one of those compare sites, put the value at £50k or under as this is often an automatic "no quote". - Although if it's really worth more than that you have a problem

Try (if you haven't already) Esure, Direct Line, Admiral

Compare site are no good for the X6 for the reason above.  I suspect you will be well above the £50k point.  Mine was £64k in 2010.

You are most likely going to have to call the companies direct.  Some companies will reject not just on value but on where it's stored, or if no tracker is installed.  If you are a young driver then some may even want a black box fitted.

Well if you're paying 54k you might as yourself what its worth the day after you buy it. Possibly a £50k?  ;)
