I am reluctantly looking to sell my X5 E53 3 litre Diesel, I love the car but with increased need to travel long distances coming up need something that eats the miles for less money so a 320/520D looks favourite.
At this stage I am not looking to Advertise the car anywhere else but I am exploring part exchange deals and if I find the right part ex then I will do the deal. I am not looking for top money anything that does marginally better than part ex will work for me. This site has been good to me so why not give a little back I say. If I make a shade over trade in then I have done ok for what I need so why be greedy.
Car details
You are unlikely to find to many other E53’s with the list of Options this car has. I don’t know exactly which bits are common to all cars and which are options but I do know the original purchaser spent £12000 (12 thousand) on options above the base price of £36000
Xenon headlights: best lights I have ever had on a car
Panoramic sunroof: The ability to close the headlining as well is a great feature
Satellite Navigation with digital TV: Gets you to where you want to go and if you are early watch TV
Full upgraded leather interior: I don’t know the name of the leather interior is but it is a cut above your regular leather interior it shows very little wear for an 8 year old 87000 mile car.
Comfort seats heated with driver memory: for those who don’t know the exterior mirrors and the steering wheel adjust along with the seat
Heated steering wheel: At £130 extra what a great option
Heated front screen:
PDC front and rear: You cannot see your corners so a real parking aid on this car
Rain sensor for front screen:
Rear privacy glass:
Pre heaters: The car has two diesel fed pre heaters that can be set by a timer to warm the car before you get in.
Black metallic paint:
Aluminium running boards:
I have owned the car for just over a year it was supplied to me with a service and new Mot, so it has just been Mot’d . Rear tyres are low I will replace these if I need to before a sale but not if I don’t have to If I have to replace them I will be looking for a little more money than if I don’t. The only other advisory was slight play in left suspension ball joint.
Tax runs until June I will leave the tax in a private sale
Body work: There are inevitably scratches and chips in a car of this age. There is one serious keyed scratch (thanks to whomever did that) left rear door a few other scratches one small dent from a stone right front wing various stone chips but nothing bad. Some peeling of the lacquer below the rear windows something to take up with BMW? not major though. The car did come with a blue tooth unit but it wasn’t sold to me as working, I have the unit. The 6 cd changer is very temperamental and probably needs replacing.
Full BMW service history until last service completed by the dealer that sold it to me,£87000 miles. Owned by me and previously a knighted art dealer from London.
The prices of these are there to see on Auto trader minus a few hundred on the haggle so I shall not name a price. As I have said an offer better than part exchange will be accepted.
Currently has a private plate that I wish to retain.
