PA-Soft / BMW Scanner questions.

Post by Sim0x » Sat Feb 15, 2014 1:01 pm

Hi everyone.

Just wanted to ask if anyone knew if the above software worked on windows 8.1 64bit, and if so will the cable I bought from BMTechnics (D-Can I think) work with the software.

Thanks in advance.

Steve

The scanner sw can be configured to work on 64 bit, I have it running on win 7, pretty sure it would work on win 8 too. Just search the forum on how to.

Is that sw compatible with the d-can cable? Not sure I have 2 cables they both came with cables.

Let us know if u find out:)

Thanks James!

I've sent them a message asking if it will work with my OS.

I will post the answer.

Sorry for the late reply, in all honesty I forgot lol

It will work with windows 7 64bit but not windows 8 64bit.

I bought one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-BMW ... 1253570667 It takes a while to turn up, but works fine on an old Netbook running XP. I keep this as a dedicated car 'puter.

This one doesn't need any pin bridging. It just works reading and clearing fault codes.

Apologies for the thread resurrection but is the above item suitable for resetting the service indicator and switching on DRLs, etc.
