My X5 is a 2002 diesel & was just wondering if this engine has a PCV?
I know the facelift diesel engine has one just not sure about the engine in my one.
I plan on doing a full service soon and if mine has a PCV I will change that when I'm changing the air filter! 

As far as I know, they all have them.  Likely to be the big roll type at that age.
