Hi (me again)
So mrs Frontman is driving the x5 and the engine management/warning light comes on in amber. Sometimes flashing, sometimes not.
Had a search on the forum.
Coil/MAF sensor ??????
I do have an Indy garage who seems to be able to find fault codes .
So (because knowledge is power) does anyone have any ideas?
It did recently have to be be jumped started after being out of action.
Any ideas.
Cheers col

I'll have to book it in to find the fault code. Don't see you around now you've got your own morrisons.

More than likely a bad lpg set up ? out of tune. I expect the O2 sensors have gone out of range which will throw up a MIL light.

Cheers for the offer sprintman, I had a look round the forum and unhooked the battery (not easy with a near full tank of gas) and the light is off for now anyway. I may still need you help when I get round to looking at the steering direction thingy because that ( or the lack of signal ) is putting the ABS warning light on.
I thought you may have been from specialised bmw being over that way.
Cheers for the offer and if it still stands I may be in touch.
Cheers Col

I had the same problem.    Weak mixture and abs light on.    I have a scanner and could read all the codes but nothing added up to the codes thrown out.    Turned out to be a split intake hose and sticky idle control valve
BMW Indy said that if the ecu cannot control the power of engine then it cannot calculate power to the gearbox which stuffs up the abs calc and throws outs stearing angle sensor problem Errrrrrrr !!!!!!!!!!!
There you have it.    LPG fueling out (usually the vaporiser pressure has dropped) or you've a leak in the intake system or needs a new maf
