Picking up E70 X5 in a week, what to look for?

hello all. First post here, so be kind!
I'm picking up my new (to me) X5 in a week or so. 3.0D with Dynamic pack, Panoramic roof and comfort seats, 55K miles.
I've read up on the various roof issues so will be looking to make sure it works and doesn't leak.
What else should I be looking for, standard faults etc.
As a bit more info, it has just recently had the rear discs and pads done and two new springs at the front (one had cracked).
Thanks

If it has 20's and sports suspension I would take it for a long drive to make sure you are happy with the ride, also check for rattles in the boot as this seems to ba a common issue on the E70. Our E91 I traded in had no rattles or noises at all and I handed over another 10k to buy this thing ::)
As above check the roof well, after reading lots of posts on the panoramic roof I opted not to have one, it appears the glass roof it too heavy for the cables and they stretch after a while and put it out of alignment, I have even seen a BMW rebuild kit with new cables/ runners.
After you buy your car you can check to see if the rear inner light gaskets have be added, did our 57 plate and they were around £10 a side from BMW, the offside light gave up before xmas so some damp got in before hand anway.
Check coolant temps on the hidden menu and should be around 90 deg c, changed both stats on ours as they were a little low and gained a couple of mpg.
Also get the codes read, I found out we have a glow plug controller gone down. This is a common fault as we had the same go on our 07 plate 325d.

Congrats on the purchase.
I would check tyres (these are expensive to replace and tend to wear on the inner edges) rear.

Make sure the air suspension on the back works, easy to do.
Take it for a run and when you pull up and get out it should pump the back up and you'll hear the compressor and see the back rising up.
Like so..

Doesn't ALWAYS do this, but most of the time it does on mine,
Open and close the pan roof at least five times, all the way back and also up and down. If that fails then walk away or negotiate a better deal as they can be very costly to fix.

I'm embarrassed to say that I never knew what that noise was until now. It's pretty quiet on mine, and I figured it was something important, but didn't know what.
Cheers

Talking about noises does anyone get a noise when the climate control is on?.
Its a faint hum that pulses high and low at about a 4 second interval, turn the climate off and it goes straight away and then comes back as soon as you put climate back on.
Air con is off though, just heating.

Could be the heater control flap motors cycling.
