TV, satnav etc Upgrade queries

I currently have an Andrive system in my car (I used to have factory fitted analogue tv, sat an  screen).
I really can't get on with the Andrive unit & wish to replace the old factory fitted unit but I want to upgrade it to digital tv, iPod integration etc.
Are there any plug & play modules that can be added to the factory fitted unit to achieve this?

There's probably lots of posts & info on Google but to be honest I'm completely baffled by the tons of info out there! I just need someone to help me with some 'simpleton' advice!

By the way if what I want to do is achievable there'll be a fairly new Andrive unit up for sale!

Many thanks all

Steve

Digital TV is a separate OEM module (in the boot) as long as you have TV function wiring etc.  There are separate options that have been fitted by others on here.  Digital TV is not that good due to reception issues unless you are in a good area.

iPod integration was never offered on the E53 systems by BMW.  You will have to fit a separate system for that.  The only OEM option plugged into the rear of the head unit and only gave manual track change control.  Again there are options such as Andrive and Hualingen heads.

Thanks Richard, unfortunately I have Andrive & find it to be over complicated for my (& in particular my wife's) needs.

The original BMW unit serves our purposes but just needs updating.

I think I'll be looking at the Intravee unit for the iPod bit but need to source the module for digital tv.

Thanks again

Will you be selling the Andrive?

Aldmc, I more than likely will be selling it but as it's only about 4 months old I'd still be looking for a decent price for it. I paid £620 for it with the 5m fakra (I think that's what it's called) cable.

What would you be prepared to pay for it?

PM me if you would like to discuss further.
