Is it worth changing it?

Is that a fluid and filter change or just the oil? I had a transmission service, where they changed both the fluid and the filter pan, just changing the fluid seems like half a job.
You wouldn't change your engine oil and leave the filter would you.
Servicing the gearbox is a subject that many people differ on, some say leave well alone as the new oil contains detergents, these detergents can loosen baked on oil deposits that get moved around getting stuck in the valve block, so causing gearbox failure.
I risked this and went ahead and had mine done, it was perfect before and afterwards, many have had it done and had no issues. I paid £170 at a Auto Gearbox Specialists.

Try this link Sonny. It's been posted before but will give you an idea of what's involved.

One day I'll take the trip to Dortmund to get mine done.
