Hi guys,

I've got a '55' X5 sport with just the standard bmw business cd headunit fitted.

Was looking along the lines of retrofitting the oe system but have been talked out of it due the age now of thus system, cost for parts and the work involved to fit it.

Does anyone have any experience or reviews of the systems such as Eonon or the OE style system listed on ebay?

Also, the obc in the vehicle resets your mpg etc - can this be reset through the instrument binnacle or would an after market system link in for resetting this?

Thanks,
Mark

Cheers mate,

Lost a few hours reading all that  :)

The andrive system does look a nice bit of kit though

Had a Dynavin myself, the windows version, it was a good unit but I have read reports of early life failures.
Also you have to but her the dash if you are fitting to a car with the MID and single  CD setup, but I extended the MID cable and had a plug in the glovebox so I cold refit it to reset clock/consumption etc
The OEM satnav Bluetooth etc is a bit old hat, very dated, but the  Chinese double din replica stuff can be a little cheaply made.
There is no proper bracketing solution for the replacement units, once you cut the dash there is no returning to standard,  Be warned :-[
