Can anyone confirm if a Parrot can be successfully integrated with DSP
Some say yes and some say no?
Not having much luck with my built in Motorola, there is a lot of noise on the line at the other end when using telephone

Considering one of these myself as I have no nav and a wonky cd
Thinks all I need is the kit plus a SOT 976.....Halfords are doing the kit for £142.99
Does it work with the iphone 5?
Any good ideas for the screen placement?

Storminmike, if you have the single slot CD with the MID setup, I have my old CD player that I removed when I fitted my Dynavin headunit.
It works perfect and is just sat in a drawer at home if you want it FOC , your not that far from me are you.

I live in Droylsden and work in Warrington so I guess that's not very far is it? You've got me here as I don't know what to do really.
This idea was for the wife's X5 who embraces all things apple and has no cd changer at all bar the single slot/mid. The idea with the parrot was to get hands free too as well as music but all the old wired hands free kits i have don't work with apple.
Embarrased now at your kind offer :-[

Do you have DSP ?
Website isn't clear if you have DSP, one fitter said DSP is compatible as long as it's not Harman Kardon?
Then I read all DSP is Harman Kardon, then somewhere else it said it's only Harman Kardon if it's written on the speakers
I was going to place screen in the middle of the vents

Nope DSP...bog standard I think. CD drive and MID only

The reason I asked is that the 5 I think (?) has a different connector to the wife's previous 3gs...not sure though.
Have you got yours installed?

Last time I went in there the feeling I got was that if you din't want them to install they weren't too bothered. All I wanted then was an aerial adapter.
I don't mind doing it myself because the mid/CD can be out in seconds and with the right SOT ( a square pin 976 I think) shouldn't be much bother.
I've got quite a collection of old handsfree kits but all wired and none blu tooth....I guess knowing a iphone 5 will plug in is the killer...might ask them anyway :-[
As for a neat install the only fiddly bit is the display...which is wired and I wouldn't want it to be open to thieves to see too easily...perhaps somewhere near the dials to see through the steering wheel
The button can go I guess side on near the handbrake/gear shift
slightly OT...do you live ridgehill lane way stalybridge?

I ran my iphone interface/ charge lead into the ashtray. Its easy to run the cable down to it as well as the climate control unit just pops out easily enough, then the ashtray insert pops out, I then drilled a hole in that to insert the cable. I remember a member posting a photo of his parrot display installed in this location too, but that was the smaller 3100 unit

The black dash bit or the "trim"
Any idea how the screen cable gets to the glove box from there
