Annoying dripping noise?

Post by sonny007 » Thu Dec 12, 2013 9:03 am

Annoying drip...drip...drip....drip

When driving back from work, decided no music (for the first time) and kept hearing this dripping sound from the rest left passenger side. 'drips' at the same speed as the indicators (blinkers) but it's not quite as loud as them, and it stops the second you turn off the A/c-Fan???

Any ideas?

Could be the Webasto exhaust under the front passenger seat. Does it happen all the time or only when it's cold. Does it stop after a long journey (when the cars fully warmed up)?

Only when cold.

Will go on a run later today and see what happens.

Cheers

Webasto clicking away under the front passenger seat then. £50k car with a click sound to scare the pants off you when under 5 degrees C. Great design...

You should see PRE-HEATING on the dash just as you fire up.

Havnt seen Pre-heating on the dash, but have noticed the car beeping when the temperature outside drops below 3 degrees.

Must admit, the car warms up pretty quick!

The pre-heating flag disappears in seconds and Sanj is correct about the tick.  Be grateful for it coz newer models don't have it.... :(
