advise needed pls.

my temp gauge takes a long time to get to the centre of the gauge.. (max outside temp around 8c)

have been keeping an eye on the coolant temp (can display this with the intravee), it's around 70c, whereas in teh summar i've seen this going up to 92 - 93c, with the temp gauge dead centre.

thermostat?

How long does it take to hit the centre and does the needle fall back?

Could be a sticky thermostat

school run today - which is a 5-mile round trip, 30min, doesn't take it to the centre.. needle does fall back slightly at times, never drops to the blue zone.

Thermostat was replaced in spring for cold running ......but it was warm too but it sort of fixed it
Come autumn mine NEVER got above the FIRST TICK after 40 mins
Replaced auxillary pump as apparently it showed an error and in 5 mins is dead centre....always

Thanks. Indy is replacing mine at the moment and I wanted to compare times. They are charging an hour so seems reasonable.

Cheers! :)
