HatchBags X5 Boot liner

Post by crash » Mon Dec 09, 2013 4:49 pm

So now i have finally got myself an X5 i wanted to make sure the boot stayed in tip top condition even though my german pointer uses it as his traveling compartment a few days a week, and he likes to get very muddy when taken out!

With that in mind i took to the glorious world of ebay to see what was on offer to protect my spotless grey carpet in the boot and prevent it becoming a mud stained mess within a week.

Now there seems to be a big divide in peoples opinion when it comes to going for genuine BMW boot liners vs the chinese/ cheapy ones available all over the bay. And i seem to sway on the side of genuine parts due to my hatred for poor fit and finish!

Thats when i stumbled upon a company called HatchBags, a UK based company that make boot liners in house for a huge range of vehicles and in different colours.

So i decided to give them a go and ordered one in light grey to match the rest of the interior, the website does state that there is a 10 - 15 wait until delivery which first had me thinking they are waiting for the next container full of cheapy boot liners to arrive from the far east, but much to my surprise they actually make the boot liners to order right here in the uk!

The liner came in around £95 posted with accurate shipping info and order updates throughout the whole process until it arrived. And i must say i am really pleased with it.  Think these are worth considering if you are the type that regularly uses your boot space for dogs, gardening, fishing, dirty children, etc..

Any way a pictures to show how it looks fitted to my X5...
