A massive thanks to Richard aka x5sport for the diagnosis of the smoke problem on my car , it was bang on.. Breather valve and air filter needing changing ... Desperately lol.. Even managed to do it myself.. Can't really give any help or advice to the forum, being a complete novice but gratitude I can do

So not only has he got great taste in motors he knows them inside out aswell, fair play!

It's nice to get it right once in a while.  But no thanks needed, I'm just happy to help and a few of the others would have come up with the same answers.

Seriously though, the guys (and gals) in this forum gave a lot of pointers over the years and the same faults seem to come up again and again.

Enjoy a smokeless ride now..

Sorry 535dboy...you know I've got a soft spot for the X6! I am only envious as I am happy if I remember what side the petrol cap is on...never mind diagnosing a problem with the car!  )
