Hi and welcome to the forum if you have a look at the e53 performance section there is a lot of info and reports on Jason's good work but I have posted his details below,
I like the aggressive lowered look and it gets the thumbs up from me

does it cause any problems with the rear camber and rear tyre wear ?

Thanks for info,
What happens is the lower you go the more camber you get just from doing such, i have my toe zeroed out, and camber brought as least as possible its around -2.4. My old tires did get shot quick, but people have had luck dialing the toe out so it doesnt scrub them, which is what i did when i got new rears, my alignment was off before too which attrib to my wear.

Some great pics on that Instagram account! How is the ride quality when it's slammed like that?

hi guys,
as you may notice i'm new to the forum and new in the world of SUV/4x4 (having denied every possible opportunity to own one in the past due to 'middle age' stereotype association

). That's now long and forgotten and under the 'never say never' motto I decided to opt for one... in 4.8is variant.
I have seen no of tuning chips available on eBay and such like places advertising OBD type chips etc hence was wondering does anyone have any experience with them? and do they offer any value so to speak - increased bhp, more mpg (preferably if possible), elasticity on throttle etc?
I also assume no negative knock on effect on the engine?
ta.

Welcome
Nice car
Most owners on here are really old (pvr/x5sport etc) so you'll be alright.
Map will make no real difference on an NA car

Oi! I'm still the right side of my mid-fifties (just!)........
OP: Welcome and ignore the 'younger' members of this group, they have no idea.......
If you want a remap, the best way is to get a custom one for your car that meets what you want rather than a generic 'one size fits all' plug in.

cheers guys... mid 30s to be precise but with family and belly to grow

.
Joking apart... thought of custom remap but the whole notion of booking/taking the car in, going through the 'facilitation' [read: pain] process etc etc. does not appeal to me having done that in the past with diesels. So something of a DIY like p'n'play would be more appealing to say the least
Has anyone tried any of these... example attached,

Jason will send you out a tool so you can do the remap yourself, see the attached post. Plug the reader in to your car, email the original map, then Jason will tweak it and send it back. This way you can do the remap at home, send the tool back for a refund of your deposit. This is better than getting a plug in Generic map in a box

cheers... this is a plug an play option and apparently does deliver at fraction of the cost compared to traditional remap

. Hence the Q had anyone considered doing it...?
for my info, apart from bhp/torque does remap deliver any results under 'fuel economy' for petrol cars? or it simply uses petrol more efficiently during combustion process hence the bhp and torque gains...? Thx
