Post by sonny007 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 5:25 pm

Hi, I've noticed every time i turn the heater on after the cars been fully warm, the temperature gauge falls back slightly.

Is this normal?

No, it's a sign that the head gasket is gone.  :o
Only kidding, I can't say that I ever noticed if the needle dropped a little. The needle usually stopped at dead centre, if its dropping to say 1/4 on the gauge it could be a sticking thermostat.
Keep your eyes on the road instead :))

I spoke to my indy and said its most likely a sticky thermostat.

Not to worry, i have ordered one and will replace when i return from my holiday.
