Yes...  :(

Or the ability to tap into the av channel (I've not done one without the TV option). You could ge one of the analogue one's off eBay for as cheap as possible and then tap into that.

There are also aftermarket units that might give you the connection you need, but I've not looked into them.

Sonny, sorry to hijack your thread.

Sanj, I have a BMW X6 2008 with the tv, how do I connect a reversing camera to it, and any idea of costs?

Thanks

No idea, totally different generation to to the E53, sorry...

Expect big bills and coding, not an easy retro-fit.

Big bills is about right.  The proper kit is around £1,000 plus labour plus coding time plus VAT.  Then you need to add the new wiring harness and a video multiplexer module  :o

The camera module alone is silly money!

The proper kit is one of these depending upon your fitted options.

And no I don't know how they justify that cost either.  It's only a webcam after all.

Thanks for the prompt replies.

I think I will leave it and use my mirrors instead.

I might ditch the reverse cam and stick to the parking sensors. They work great both front and back  :yeah:
