what a weekend had to travel from inverness to bridge of allan for a wedding reception for one of my best mates, so wanted to get there!
should have been a 2 hour trip each way!! 3.5 hours goin down on sat afternoon!!... just under 6 hours coming home today mental!

it's the first time i've driven the X in snow and was a bit concerned after hearing a few stories!!!

but can i just say what an awsome machine it is!!.. it's takin my love of this car to a new level!
not joking it's on standard wheels and tyres, the machine was just unstoppable total pleasure to drive.. was going places some other 4x4's were struggling!!
there was road closures every where just took to back roads side streets the works..

the most eerie moment was when we made it onto the A9 by a side road as it was closed at the dunblane roundabout!, travelling on the A9 no road to be seen, no cars to be seen, total whiteout was something else....

just relaxing now with a vino... some pics attached

Nice one fella  and thanks for sharing the pics. It's surprizing how good these cars can be considering all the bad publicity/horror stories they get.

We've only had about 1cm (so far), so ever so jealous of that amount of snow :P

It always looks great unless you have to drive in it. Well done you for braving it out there.

Daren't show my lad this. Brought the whole family to Canada and promised him loads of snow in the winter. Had precisely 2 cm yesterday and it was gone by lunchtime.

Heavy snow here this morning. Walked my wife to local school as cars stuck all over the place and could not get the X5 out. Thunder and lightening as we walked through village :) while it snowed like mad.

Drove home from work last night in heavy snow and X on 20" wheels had no problems

That sure reminds me of earlier this year when we had the worst in the South. Sooo glad we don't have any at the moment.

Thanks for the pics though, I heard about the A9 on the radio again this morning that it was closed. Nothing like seeing it for real though.
