Car security

Post by Londoner » Wed Nov 06, 2013 6:46 pm

Just purchased this today. Hopefully should deter the average car thief.

Anyone had any experience with these?Image

I think the fact that your car is on it's side might help a little too  :))

Aaarrh...

Sorry about this, I've got no idea why everyone is seeing my pictures the wrong way round. This is the second pic I have posted and both are correct on my screen but wrong for everyone else.  Very strange, any suggestion who I can fix this,?

They're fine on my ipad.

Must be a non-X6 owners problem...... :P

OP: I had an earlier version on mine until the Security Update was done.  Some folks have reported marking on the wheel with these, but that was on the E70 which may have a truck steering wheel.

My car is booked in on Monday for the security update, and also a recall for a thread (or something) on my PAS.  To be honest, I'm only likely to use it when I park it on the drive overnight, and maybe the odd occasion if it gets parked in a car park somewhere. I won't be using it everytime I park up somewhere.

Ok on my panty pad just put a cloth over your steering wheel to protect it.Anything that deters a twat from trying to steal your pride and joy is worth using.

I assume we are looking at the rain ex which is loaded with cooking oil

Knob head thief will assume you are being helpful, will try an clean the window and it will smear over meaning he will either stop safely or crash and die, the latter being the favourable option as arsehole will no longer be here and there will be one less oversized car on the road.

The disklok will do fuck all for a determined thief but given it is an X6 you should be safe as nobody would want to steal it anyway.

Why are you sniffling around BMW dealers when you are a measly Audi driver?
