Hello folks, wondering if any of you with a 4.8is could help me out here, after returning home from a enthusiastic drive i noticed the smell of burning oil coming from the front end of the car, upon investigation i found what i think is an oil breather pipe just sitting there not connected to anything. Any of you got a 4.8 and would be willing to have a look and see if you can see where this pipe is supposed to attach to would be greatly appreciated. I have hunted hi and low to try and see where it goes but i am unable to see anything.
See red arrow for location of pipe and green arrow shows oil residue.

The pipe with the red arrow is supposed to be like that - same on my 4.4. Not sure exactly what it is though tbh but sure someone will post.
Is the one marked green for power steering? I had what I thought was an oil leak as I saw a drop of oil on my drive and when I checked it was the pipes perished on the power steering. Had them replaced and no issues since.

Thanks for the reply psychosis, they are in fact the power steering pipes and i have just gave them a wipe with a rag and the results are looking more towards power steering fluid (redish brown in colour)
I will have a look at the power steering pipework tomorrow (best not to get involved with working on the car after half a bottle of Russian standard vodka) and let you know but thanks for the pointer.
