Hi... About 6 months ago I bought a set of white angel eye bulbs for my 2004 x5.
They were working fine until recently. Sometimes they come on as normal, but mostly now the drivers side one does not come on, but my drivers side front indicator comes on instead...and stays illuminated.
And when I turn off the engine I get the check parking lights message.
Do you think the bulb is faulty or is it more likely that my wiring is at fault.?
Please help
Thanks

Angel eye bulbs faulty?
Re: Angel eye bulbs faulty?
Try swapping left for right and see if the fault moves?
If it does then the bulb is suspect, if not then it's most likely the wiring.

Re: Angel eye bulbs faulty?
think teh bulb is faulty. yes a left/right swap should let you figure it out.
as for the side light - that's not a wiring fault. when there's a fault on the 'parking light' which is the AE in this car the LCM illuminates the side/signal light instead as a fallback. that's what you're noticing.
that is also why you get a 'check parking lights' message.

Re: Angel eye bulbs faulty?
Does just sound like the bulb has failed, hence the indicator staying on in it's place.
