Finally the new additions

Well, I know it has taken some time to get these pics up but I have been a very busy chappy with work and home.
Now I know the debate on the alloys was discussed as to whether the Alpina's could be bettered, etc. Now alloys is a very marmite thing and plenty will not like the new look.....BUT..... I don't give a ... LOL. I love the look and the stance.
So here goes:
Taken on the trip to Edinburgh recently
Some different angles
They are MK Motorsports in staggered setup with 9x20 fronts and 10.5x20 rears.
I'm running 20mm spacers up front and 30mm rears to give the stance. They also help with the next upgrade...
Some will remember the mission I went through to get the M5 Big Brakes I had fitted to the X5. Ever since getting rid of them there has been a void in my life for some more...lol. Well an opportunity arose to fill that void as Kav decided to get rid of his X6.
The standard brakes aren't too bad:
But after a fresh coat of Ferrari Red I had these bad boys fitted:
8 pot fronts with 405mm floating discs:
6 pot rears with 380mm floating discs:
They really fill the alloys and combination of brakes and rims is spot on for me:
To say they stop well is a true understatement. They are phenomenal.
Hope you like.

I fully expect a lot not to like em but they are more aggressive than the Alpina's and really add a touch of aggression.
And totally agree with the last part of the comment...

i was same, the brakes deffo make them look better, i do like them and i love dished wheels, the close up pics look better as on the far away pics i cant help thinking that amount of dish on a 20 makes the wheel look very small as dish wheels always look smaller anyway, overall though i like and think it will look far better in real life

I know exactly what you're saying about dished rims. But tbh for me even in the pics I think proportionately thy still look spot on and not undersized.
And yes the brakes make them work for sure lol.

In the pic above even with a 20mm spacer there's only about a 2mm gap so might need to consider 25mm for the fronts.

Cheers Chris.
Let us know when back round these ways and you can have a look in the flesh and see what you think then.
Very pleased with brakes especially after the veal with the eBay rear Brembo kit fiasco.
