Discounts on F15

Anyone ordered or seriously enquired about a new F15 to see what discount levels are on offer. I see the 40d M Sport is now listed on the configurator at about £2500 more than the 30d.

Discounts on other new models like the 335d are pretty high percentages so hopefully something similar on the F15, they are launching at a bad time as head to head with the new RRS so BMW may need to do something to secure sales.

Broadspeed.com doing 5% on the 3.0d M sport but no figure given for the 40d models. Wait until December when no bugger wants to spend money on a car and still a month or so early for fleet orders on new plate. 10% should be achievable - I got closer to 15% off my X6 40d M sport back in January 2011.

Looking to surprise Mrs Snipez with a 4.4SDV8 RR autobiography for Xmas or early new year so hopeful of a few bob off using this method.

10% would sound about minimum  I would aim for but you can just hear the dealer chat, new model, high demand etc etc. I'm away for a look at a new RR Sport should help stop that conversation in its tracks. Need to wait and see the new F15 in the flesh of course as some of the pics look good and others don't.

At the moment a 40d M Sport in either of the whites but probably Mineral White looks like a good replacement for my 35d M Sport E70.

Dealers still have monthly sales targets to meet irrespective of how long you need to wait for the car to be built - a la drop shipping they will rustle up a batch build if they get enough orders. So December should be a good month to realise a discount.

I visited 3 RR dealers and phoned 5 others... all told me that I'd have to wait til May next year for a RRS with a sunroof......

I've ordered a new X5 and in terms of discount it's hard to tell as they have (so far) given me nothing more than free servicing for 3 years off the new car. They have however given me a cracking PX - on my 4 year old X5 35d Msport, which makes me feel somewhat less worried. They also reduced the APR on the finance after a nudge (dont suppose anyone accepts the first rate they offer).

Ink not yet applied to paper (they ordered for me without deposit) so will def push for a discount as well. Anyone who hears of real discounts off new metal pls post - I could use the ammo!

Might be worth a quick call to Terry at Elms Cambridge. I and others have had good experiences.

Bluebell invited us to their X5 launch event this weekend.  Might go for a nose and a free glass of Chardonnay.  Will ask what discounts I should be expecting and see what they say (despite having no intention of buying one).
Unlike 535d boy, we are poor and don't get invited to many of these.  In fact I might even take the kids and a doggy bag along....

I still can't get over the fact BMW have plonked the nav screen in the middle of the dash, jutting out like that.

It just looks crap.

i think the Nav screen looks great (in the pictures) but obvs "in the flesh" will be the real test.

Horses for courses i suppose....

Is it so the main dash can be populated by things you might spec and Satnav pod optional so people can buy a just-as-good tomtom maybe?

If it's anything like the 120D I was loaned whilst my car was in the workshop then I don't think that's the case.

All cars get the screen, its for the radio and suchlike, if they don't have nav then its just not listed on the menu. My apologies, I always seem to refer to it as the "nav screen".

I have got a 520d F10 right now, and the screen on that it built into the dash, and it looks great. Its bigger than the old E70 screen and so much faster to operate, which is annoying as both cars are 13 platers.

I don't like the F15 at all & won't be placing an order - I think they'll sell well though as it's a damn site cheaper than the new RRS.    The old RRS was 58K I think?  & the new model 85k?!!  Where do Land Rover get these figures from.  Are they trying to inflate the price of used RR Sports to keep the chavs out of them, ie trying to refresh the image problem.      So that wil work well for the new X5, and the Cayenne / ML etc
