Hi

Does anyone know if 2012 E71 wheels (258)  http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/x6_e71_e72_alloys/19_bmw_258_wheel_1364   will fit an 2012 E70.

My current wheels are (223M)    http://www.alloywheelsdirect.net/bmw_alloy_wheels/x5_e70_alloys/19_bmw_223m_wheel_442

Have the chance to get new set (258 wheel with tyres) that seller changed at new when buying his E71 with 21" wheels, now he's offloading the 19's.

Cheers.

The simple answer is no.  The rear hub on the E71 is smaller than the E70.  It has been mentioned before that you can get the centre bored out but not really sure how easy this is in practise, or indeed costs involved.

Kinda thought that was the case.

TBH I prefer my wheels anyway, just thought that as other wheels have brand new Bridgestones on them it's almost a non brainer.  Might just buy for the tyres and then resell the wheels (but it is a limited market for 19" X6 wheels though).  Just my wheeler dealer instincts  :))

They can be bored out, no major issue but Raj knows better. He's done it more times than I've changed socks!

Use the extra hassle as a bargaining tool!  ;)

Agreed. Plenty of places offer boring out service so rears can be made to fit
