I have previously posted here that I had ordered a 21 interior LED bulb set to change the lighting in my car.
I could not work out what had been delivered and where they went, the seller was helpful enough but suggested I started fitting to see where we went from there.
Well, why the HELL (for want of a better word) did I attempt this. Basically what was provided was no where near complete or correct, the mirror puddle bulbs were non-existant and even the 'obvious' (sellers words not mine) footwell and under door bulbs were wrong, they supplied 8 for these areas and only 2 fitted (rear footwell under seats) the rest were all too small. I am requesting a refund from the seller on eBay.

BUT worse than that, not only do I have no LEDs but I DO have the following:

Rear tailgate bulbs do NOT work at all (and one of the plastic light covers now swings freely in the boot as it will not snap back)
FIVE of the six roof lights do NOT work
PDC does NOT work
Self leveling rear suspension is INACTIVE
I have even lost the little light off the gear selector.

For f@~%&ng hells sake  >:( :'(

I was thinking about getting one of those sets, don't think I'll bother now, thanks for the info.

checked my fuses, and by leaving overnight the electrics seem to have settled down 

I do still have to get two new tailgate lights as they will not stay in now, probably my fault  :-[

But the set was definately not designed specifically for my car, as their advert said it was.

When I was removing the LEDs that had managed to fit, they were very hot...
I am not sure I am going to bother with this modification now, unless someone with better dexterous skills (like Raj) walks me through it

I told you Ant I'm more than happy to walk you through it or fit em if you fancy popping up.

I've got some spare led bulbs too but not enough to do the whole interior.

Is it possible to get coloured lamps for the interior lights?

I put the rear ones in (below the rear seat) and they looked good, but with all the hastle I caused myself I think I would replace some and not all.

The vanity mirrors were easy but quite pointless as I never use them, glove box would give a miss as I could 'feel' it but could not get at it, think I would go for four footwells, four under doors, maybe mirror puddle lights depending on ease, six roof lights, and maybe tailgate.... so actually that IS pretty much all except the glovebox (as vanity was so easy I might do them)  )

First thing first, get a refund from seller, and two new tailgate lenses ordered from BMW
