Yep, open hose rinse with no streaks, mine brings 350 ppm down to zero.
Yep, inline with hose, valve to switch for rinse or connect just for final rinse.
Not had mine long but if looked after and kept out of the cold in winter I'm led to believe it should give a couple of rinses a week for a year between resin changes.

An 11.7 litre will cost around £40 to refill, just unscew the top and drain water then empty old resin. To refill you need to fill and then add water to allow the feed pipe to push to the bottom of the vessel, videos on Youtube to show how to do it.

Although I do love mine and use it often, you won't get 2 rinses a week for a year.

I get about 6 - 7 months from mine.
Do love it though.

From what I read up the 'magic' figure for use with tap pressure is around the 11 litre mark, a larger one could mean that the water flows through the cylinder differently and isn't as effective.

11l is what I have.
With two washes a week for 3 cars you would get a few months, depending on the hardness of the water of course.
