Hi all, out of interest would an e39 sub fit in the e53??? And would you still need amp to power it etc??? And would you be able to link aftermarket amp to it???

Hi,

No an E39 sub won't fit an E53

Yes you would need an amp to power it

Yes you can link an aftermarket amp to it.

I took it he meant the whole box etc - if it's just a sub you intend to put in a box and then transfer to the X, then of course it should/would fit...

The sub from the E39 is pretty big... my E39 had the Individual Audio upgrade and that had two huge subs in the rear parcel shelf. It would not fit in the E53 where you find the subs in the boot of an E53 with DSP as there isn't enough room.
