Took the X5 in for the mot today failed on split cv boot bleeding £82 Christ all frigging mighty how much.

That's cheap!!
I've just been quoted £150 by my local Indy !!!
May go to another local garage for a quote if you only paid £82.....

On the x, it's not a particularly easy job compared to a lot of cars. This obviously drives the price up a bit!

I true, well picked it up rear brake pipe was corroded also £148 in total but hey it's only money.

Assuming you are happy with quality of both parts and labour the price is very reasonable indeed
