Time to say Goodbye to the old bird...

Well, after being in and out of here for the last 4 1/2 years i've finally decided for a change. The 4.8 has had a few problems lately including gearbox issues. She now has a fully rebuilt box with warranty. I'm not prepared to throw anymore money at her. I've had beemers for the last 20 years so I decided on a change of brand. I've just bought myself a brand new C63 AMG merc coupe and can't bloody wait for delivery. Like a kid in a sweet shop so to speak. I have a few toys on the X which I will be removing and putting up for sale so keep an eye out. Enjoyed my time on here and will pop back in now and again. Some really helpful advice by members of the board and I thank you for that.
Cheers everyone..  :'(

Good luck with your new motor  8) I am a big fan of the C63 what's not to like?

It's great that you are sticking to a lovely sounding engine & I still miss my 4.8 X5 they are a lovely motor but the merc will raise plenty of smiles no doubt, have fun  :)

No need to disappear as this is a great site.  :)

Would be interested to hear your objective review when you've got a few miles on the new car.  In the mean time enjoy!

Great new car, as long as it is dry ;)

Friend has new saloon. Says it is a handful.

Hope it is the 507 one?

Congratulations on the Merc, lovely looking motor with an awesome soundtrack.
I live by a Merc dealership and you can hear when they demo one ;-)

You know full well you will have to post some pics when you get it.

Enjoy the Merc and take care, like 535boy said make sure the road is straight and dry and long!!!

The power is mental (try a Black totally insane) you will soon be on first name terms with your tyre shop.

That C63 has a filthy sound - love it :)

Shame to see you go of course, but do post the pics of the new car. Stick around like 535dboy (well, perhaps not as much  >:D)

Proper gangsta motor there ...in the nicest possible way, but looks like some dodgy geezer is nicking it.
