I've just bought, well put a deposit down on, an x5.  Am I in the right place?  :)  I'm collecting on Tuesday.

Hopefully it will be bang on and I wont have any "problem" questions.  I expect i'll be wanting to know about the internal AV system, what can be done to it to play DVDs or install a media player.  TV upgrades and any other cool tricks.  It says it has iPhone connections, can I use an iPhone 5 or an iPad 4?

Here she is:

Sounds cool......and  :hi:

You are definitely in the right place for 'X' owners.  I bet you're looking forward to collection day... :)

Need to know about the iPhone connection system as there are several.  Native support for iphone5 and any iPads is not standard as the models came out after production ceased.  The previous owner must have added something.

Mine had a Dension ICE>Link Plus, and you may well have the later (and much better) Dension Gateway system.

Cool thanks, I'll check it out.

The iPhone connection is just up to iPhone 4.  Not the iPhone 5 which uses the lightning connector.  I didn't know if this was factory lead and if there is a adaptor for iPhone 5.

It's home.  Quite possibly the most painful car purchase since records began.  I'll post a summary tomorrow.  Bed time now.
