BMW X5 3.0D Le Mans Blue Sport EDITION 2006

Post by cameronrobyn » Tue Aug 20, 2013 10:27 am

Hi, I have just bought the above and was wondering if there was a standard equipment list.  I have looked at Sanj's list and not sure what is actually on there

I have the:
Communication pack + assist.  I think this means bluetooth, 12 speakers and Tracking (assist).
Climate package - not sure what this consists of.
Loudspeaker - BNW Advanced
Premium package

I cant wait to get hold of it, getting it through BMW Ipswich, car is coming from BMW Sunderland

Like a kid in a candy store...

Welcome aboard.....

This BMW UK link should tell you what you need if you select the electronic parts catalogue.  It will bring up the full 'build sheet if you enter the last 7 characters of you VIN into it.

Some days it doesn't work due to some BMW server error, but most of the time it's OK.

If it doesn't come up, then your Dealer can get the same data anyway with your VIN details.

'Assist' is just the BMW phone based help/breakdown support system, and unless it's been paid for then the subscription will have lapsed.  Trackers were optional extras that again usually have an annual charge.

Is it coming from Coopers at Boldon? i went past there yesterday and there was an 06 in that colour right at the front perched up at an angle on display.
2006 3.0d Sport, Carbon Black,Comms pack with Assist,Climate pack,Premium + Sport Plus pack, Nappa leather, pano roof, and Comfort seats - which is sadly now sold and has been replaced by a Mazda 6, oh well shit happens.

Not sure, but i have it now in Ipswich, its beautiful and drive like a dream, its says that it is 286 bhp, i cant find any on autotrader with same bhp, mostly 218 bhp.  I have the data sheet that states 286 so im fine, shall i post pictures or is that sad?

286bhp? Seems a bit much for a diesel? I believe it was the 4.4 V8 that had 286bhp. Pre F/L diesel had 186bhp and F/L had 218bhp.

I could be wrong though

Most of the X5 on AT have the same spec with 218 bhp, im assuming then that the data sheet is typed by BMW and has a typo on it!

Might ask next time im in!

Ahhh - those trustrworthy folks at the dealerships eh!
It's the torque that makes the diesel stand out rather than the peak bhp though - IMHO.
