BMW have just shown the M4 at pebble beach and launched its own preview on the website and its looking superb, does anyone have any experience of preemptive orders with BMW?
I tried my dealer friend and he's not sure what to do with interest in something not yet available.

A 4 series in Esteril Blue passed me on the A1 today, as it was at the side of me I thought it was an M3. When it passed I was suprised to see a pea shooter of an exhaust on one side. It was a 420.
I thought it looked a lot more beefy than the present 3 series coupe that's why I thought it was an M3.
Shame about the exhaust, I thought it spoiled the look of a good car

The addition of the side air slot, 'M' badging to 'M Sport' trim cars and the fact that it really is a 3 series but badged as a '4' doesn't do it any favours either. The true M4 is goung to have to be somewhat different if it's to stand out from the 'me too' crowd...

Looks good, but saying that I thought the pics of the standard 4 series looked good, yet when I saw one in the flesh last week I was disappointed.

As always with BMWs it will be colour and spec sensitive, bit like why an X6 doesn't work in burgundy because it looks pink.....

Sorry, did you say something? When you have a little go at someone/something it can be funny, but when you constantly go on about the issue when there's very little relevance I have to wonder if you are trying to compensate for something missing in your life! Maybe the reason you keep getting divorced is because you haven't found the right bloke yet.
Comfortable with red, burgundy or pink, Don

Are you joking
There are far more people on here that go on about it than me. Stand down.

I am looking forward to the M4 but I have to admit when I went to look at the 4 series at my local dealer I was a tad disappointed too.
