Could someone please tell me if the all E53's came with a amp and if so where is it?
I have a non dsp system and want to connect a sub and having looked at some info most say you need to connect on a plug on the amp. I have looked near the cd and nav rack but cant seem to locate it.
Any help would be appreciated.

All X5's come with the RC (Radio Control Module) that has the built-in amp. The plug they talk about is the quadlock connector - that's where the wires for the speakers are, that you need to tap into.
Some X5s have additional amps depending on what upgrade they were spec'd with. How many speakers do you have - 6, 10 or DSP (look in the menu on the 16:9 screen).
Either way connect to the speaker wires on the quadlock - all that has been covered here before including a thread on the sub install.

Thanks Sanj.
Is that the quadlock connector going into the RCM and am I going to need one of those speaker input to RCA converters or can I plug straight in?
Will try and find the install topic.
